Jensen founded the Georg Jensen jewellery brand in 1904, which has since come to represent quality, craftsmanship and timeless style. The Fine Art Society held two Jensen exhibitions in 1921 and 1923, both of which proved to be extremely popular in post-war Britain with almost all of the silverware sold. Jensen will be showcased alongside a selection of Nordic designers and makers including Nanna Ditzel & Jörgen Ditzel, Astrid Fog, Bent Gabrielsen, Hans Hansen, Bent Knudsen, Henning Koppel, Rey Urban, Hans J. Wegner, Tapio Wirkkala and more. The exhibition provides an opportunity.

The return of Jensen to New Bond Street after nearly 100 years not only reveals the brand’s esteemed reputation in the art world, but it also demonstrates The Fine Art Society's long history of dealing in design. Indeed, The Fine Art Society has always engaged with designers and the decorative arts, from Edward William Godwin's remodelling of the gallery facade in 1881, to Whistler's redesigning of the gallery space for his seminal exhibition 'Arrangement in White and Yellow' in 1883.

The Fine Art Society represents the intersection of British art and design. This will be presented in the concurrent exhibition 'British Design' (27 November - 3 January), featuring furniture, textile, glass, metal and ceramic design from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
