TAKU & SOLLIP PRESENT A MAYFAIR, MICHELIN STAR EVENING TO REMEMBER
Thursday 12th June 2025
This June, two of London’s most acclaimed culinary talents unite for a one-night-only collaboration at Taku, Mayfair’s Michelin-starred omakase restaurant. On Monday 16th June, Chef Takuya Watanabe and Chef Woongchul Park of South Bank’s Michelin-starred Sollip will join forces to present an extraordinary dining experience celebrating precision, creativity, and cross-cultural artistry.
Chef Takuya, known for his innovative take on Japanese cuisine, will partner with Chef Park, whose refined style blends Korean ingredients with European fine dining techniques. Together, alongside Taku’s Head Chef Long Ng, they have crafted a 17-course tasting menu that bridges heritage and haute cuisine.
Highlights include meticulously prepared dishes that blend traditional Japanese flavours with contemporary flair - from intricately rolled bites to delicate pastries - each thoughtfully paired with a curated selection of wine and sake. For the finale, Bomee Ki, Sollip’s co-owner and one of the UK’s most celebrated pastry chefs, will offer a signature twist with her Sancho Pavlova, a nod to Sollip’s iconic Perilla Pavlova.
This collaboration is more than a menu - it’s a meeting of minds from two of the city’s most exciting kitchens, brought together by Taku co-founder Lucas Leong. “We wanted this to be a genuine exchange of technique and vision,” he says. “It’s a celebration of culinary harmony, not just a showcase.”
An exceptional evening awaits - for those lucky enough to secure a seat.
