SUMMER DINING WITH THE CAPRICE GROUP

1.) Lisa Markwell Supper Club at J Sheekey Atlantic Bar

This July, J Sheekey Atlantic Bar will run a second series of guest chef supper clubs, with some of the most celebrated food writers and chefs in the UK hosting one night only events at the restaurant. Kicking off season two and cooking alongside Atlantic Bar Executive Chef Andrew McClay will be Sunday Times Food editor Lisa Markwell.

Lisa is a passionate cook with a huge respect for seasonal and regional ingredients. Her passion will be reflected in the dishes cooked for the supper club series, her signature being ribboned salad of beetroot cured salmon, pickled summer vegetables and labneh. Lisa’s supper club is followed by Rose Price on Tuesday, 25 September, and Lisa Faulkner on Tuesday, 30 October.

2.) Diego Cardoso’s Summer Dishes at Harry’s Dolce Vita

The menus at Harry’s Dolce Vita are created exclusively by Executive Chef Diego Cardoso, with a focus on seasonal, unfussy Italian cooking that’s bursting with flavour and fun. Diego sources all the ingredients from specialists, working directly with Italian suppliers and importers, and has this month added a number of new dishes to the menu for summer.

Harry’s Dolce Vita also offers diners one of the best summer terraces in Knightsbridge, spanning the entirety of the restaurant’s Basil Street frontage. Diego’s summer dishes are available now, on the Harry’s Dolce Vita A La Carte menu.

3.) Summer Hampers at The Mount Street Deli

The Mount Street Deli creates some of the best picnic hampers around, where else can you pick up a takeaway lunch for two, with dishes from Scott’s restaurant? With three different hampers available for pre-order now, the deli has all your picnic needs covered this summer.

The Mount Street Deli picnic hamper (£45 / serves 2) is quite a meaty affair, with home-made Cumberland sausage roll and roast beef, accompanied by seasonal salads, spicy olives and beetroot and horseradish dressing.

The Scott’s picnic hamper (£60 / serves 2) is more pescetarian, including signature style fish and shellfish dishes from the Scott’s kitchen - Evesham green asparagus with soft herb dressing and lobster with summer vegetable salad - alongside a delicious dessert and a bottle of Pulenta La Flor Sauvignon Blanc.

The Mount Street Deli’s Royal Britannia Hamper (£95 / serves up to 6) is filled with delicious British goodies including a bottle of Coates and Seely British sparkling wine, sandwiches, salads and sausage rolls from the deli and sweet treats from Scott’s and 34 Mayfair.

4.) The Le Caprice x Grey Goose Secret Jardin

Le Caprice’s Arlington Street terrace has transformed into the Le Caprice ‘secret jardin’; a beautiful enclosed space serving a menu of lighter bites, alongside a specially created Grey Goose cocktail menu. Expect a wall of plants, herbs and botanicals; citrus trees, climbers, wisteria flowers and a selection of potted herbs.

Le Caprice Head Chef, Will Halsall, has selected a number of Le Caprice’s lighter bites, creating a menu of dishes which are ideal for enjoying al fresco. Some Le Caprice Jardin highlights include Norfolk asparagus, served hot with hollandaise or cold with herb vinaigrette, Isle of Mull scallops and a crispy duck salad with pineapple, pink grapefruit and spiced cashews.

5.) Friday Brunches at 34 Mayfair

34 Mayfair on South Audley Street is known for its fabulous brunch offering, head chef Harvey Ayliffe’s menu features enticing dishes such as Japanese wagyu croquettes with wasabi mayo, a buckwheat blini with hot smoked salmon, beetroot, horseradish and caviar, and Huevos rancheros with grilled shrimps and tomatillo salsa.

This July, the restaurant kicks off 34 Mayfair’s Summer of Brunch, serving brunch on Friday in addition to Saturday and Sunday, so diners can start the weekend early with the best brunch in Mayfair. 34 Mayfair’s Summer of Brunch menu will be available from midday to 5pm on Friday, and 11.30am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
